Industrial Bridal Shoot – Gem + Kyle

This bridal shoot was a DREAM to shoot. I don’t know if I completely agree with it being industrial…. there are definitely elements to that. But that is one of the words that Modern Bride called it when this shoot appeared in their Stylists Handbook of 2016. (Congrats Martina!)

As with most bridal shoots, we wanted to showcase a few different ideas. The idea that a boutonniere doesn’t have to be a flower (in this case a brooch!), that the groom doesn’t always have to wear black/grey (Maroon sounds cool!) A bride’s hair can be blue! She can wear an off the shoulder fitted dress, or a strapless dress adorned with a pearl caplet (made by the whizzes at Atelier Rose) The Flowers can be amazing, unstructured and wild, you can be married within an old gaol, and the fact that there just are no rules.

To everyone involved, a massive big thumbs up! I loved everyone’s contributions and I love seeing what this industry can create.

Gem and Kyle, what a pleasure it was to photograph you lovebirds xx
